…is quiet at this time of year.
A quick look around shows that the small harbour is empty, and most the boats are drydocked. You can’t get ice cream either — the shops all appear to be closed until summer.
The ferry (Chi-Cheemaun, meaning “Big Canoe” in Ojibwa) is being repaired, and apparently she won’t be going anywhere soon.
What you’ll find here are sundry thoughts about the quiet life, along with brief notes on whatever I’m dredging up from the Archive this week. While the updates here are sporadic, I assure you that they’re always kindly — and you can take solace in the archives or blogroll (below) on a rainy day.
